Ctrl + V combination is not working in Windows (any version)

If you are facing the same problem of blockage of Ctrl button combinations like Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V etc, then you are reading the right article. In this article I will illustrate how you can get rid of this situation.

First of all we have to know why this occurs. The stoppage of Ctrl key combinations could be result of a Trojan or virus, or it could be just a disturbance of Windows settings. In this case I assume that your system is free of Virus and Trojans. So, I will focus on enabling the key combination using settings.

SCENARIO 1 (OPTIONS ARE NOT SET APPROPRIATELY)

Step 1: Press Windows + R key

Step 2: Type CMD and press enter

Step 3: Right Click on title bar move cursor to Properties and press left click button. (From keyboard Press Alt + Space bar + P

Step 4: In "Edit Option" box Check "Enable Ctrl key Shorcuts"

Step 5: Press Enter or Click OK

Step 6: Check whether your Ctrl + V issue has been resolved or not. If it is then hurray otherwise go to Step 7

Step 7: Restart Computer

Hope you are done. If it is still not resolved checkout second scenario

SCENARIO 2 (KEYBOARD DRIVERS ARE NOT UP TO DATE)

Step 1: Press Windows + R

Step 2: type "sysdm.cpl" (without quotation marks)

Step 3: Move to Hardware tab

Step 4: Click "Device Manager"

Step 5: Update drivers for Standard PS/2 Keyboard (If keyboard already has a company name like Microsoft, A4Tech etc, then this solution may not work for you)

Step 6: Restart Computer.

I hope you might have got the answer and solution to your problem.
