Newton's First Law of Motion

NEWTONS' FIRST LAW OF MOTION
( LAW OF INERTIA )

Newton's First Law of Motion sates:
1- A body at rest will remain at rest, and a body in motion will continue its state of motion unless an external force is applied on it.
OR
2- Without application of net force an object cannot change its state of rest or of uniform motion.

For example:
When a ball is kicked, it should continue its motion but it is obvious that it stops after covering some distance, the reason is that following forces are acting over it:
a) Gravitation of Earth
b) Weight of ball
c) Air friction
d) Rolling Friction

That is why a ball stops after some time.
